More men are turning to astrology and relational readings for emotional clarity.

A previously underreported shift is emerging from Hint App’s internal analytics. In a recent survey of 2412 male users, 54% said they used the Hint App to develop an emotional vocabulary for difficult moments, 47% to navigate relationship decisions, and 38% to manage stress and personal transitions.

The majority of these male users approach the platform episodically rather than habitually. 61% described their usage as situational, tied to events like breakups, career changes, or the beginning of a new relationship. Only 29% reported regular use as part of an ongoing reflective routine. Notably, 22% said they were introduced to the app through a friend or partner, indicating that relational diffusion, not solitary spiritual searching, is driving male adoption.

This data challenges persistent cultural narratives that frame symbolic self-knowledge as inherently feminine. While overall platform activity spikes around events like Valentine’s Day or the start of fall, men tend to enter the app through different triggers. 44% of male respondents first used the Hint App following a breakup or romantic disruption, compared to 31% of the general user base.

The motivations cited by men point to function over faith. They emphasize the value of structure and framing when facing emotional uncertainty. 38% named stress reduction and decision clarity as primary benefits. 29% highlighted the importance of rituals, small, repeated acts that transform uncertainty into patterned reflection.

Male users show a particular preference for Hint App’s readings and soulmate sketches, especially those focusing on relational dynamics. While 62% of all users seek insights related to love and relationships, this number rises to 68% among surveyed men, suggesting a heightened emotional engagement with interpersonal themes.

This shift is not merely a statistical anomaly but part of a broader reconfiguration of how men access meaning-making frameworks. The data suggest that rather than abandoning rational or therapeutic modes of self-understanding, many men are layering symbolic tools into their emotional toolkit. 57% reported consulting the Hint App in the weeks following therapy or counseling, indicating a complementary, not substitutive, approach.

Taken together, these trends suggest a cultural inflection point. As men increasingly incorporate symbolic systems into their reflective practices, the gender boundaries of emotional technology begin to blur. Rather than a departure from masculinity, this adoption represents a reframing of it, one that prioritizes clarity, vocabulary, and ritual over prediction or belief.
